Church Plant Plans
Who are we?
LightHouse Church is a group of Jesus followers, who want to bring the light of Jesus to Boulder Co. LightHouse Church feels called to and have a passion for inner-city ministry. In particular we feel called to those who are homeless, those who struggle with addiction, gangs, and anyone else God sends us. As well as, trying to build a true Christ loving community in all of Boulder no matter their background or if they live on the street, in a house, or has an addiction.

Why Do we feel called to plant a church?
There are approximately 52,000 people living on the streets in Colorado, 3 million people who have some sort of addiction that are open about it, 25% of Colorado residents are affected by a mental illness, and 30% of Colorado's residents are confessing atheists who doesn't know Jesus.

The LightHouse Church believes God is calling us to spread the love and gospel of Jesus Christ to these communities. In particular we feel called to reach these communities in the town of Boulder Co. while also connecting them to God, so that they can use their spiritual gifts to help the next person.

How is LightHouse Church going to do this?
We feel called to build a physical location/ building in Boulder Co. This is where we can hold worship services, Bible studies, Leadership training, Christ centered recovery meetings, prayer meetings, community meals/ get togethers, outreach to the homeless community to support them to get housing, setting up a Five Types of Poverty Curriculum, and as well as going out and being the true church found in the Bible.

What is our Five Types of Poverty Curriculum?
Poverty is so much more than being homeless and poor. We believe there are 5 types of poverty that affects people, which lighthouse church would like to make a curriculum to help one out of poverty. Those 5 types are...
1. Spiritual Poverty
2. Financial Poverty
3. Educational Poverty
4. Emotional Poverty
5. Physical Poverty

What is the model of LightHouse Church?
The model of Lighthouse church can be broken into four areas with Christ being at the center of it all. Everything the Lighthouse Church does is for the glory of God, and to be used by Him to make disciples of all nations.
Local Church- Lighthouse church takes great pride in the community that God has sent us to. This is where the local church can truly be the church. This is where we will find our church members, have worship services, have recovery services, Celebrate Recovery meetings, support other Christians in the community, develop a Five Types of Poverty Curriculum for anyone who wants one, meet the needs of the people God is sending us, and try to win people over for Christ in the area He sends us.
Training- Lighthouse Church will offer multiple opportunities for onsite training, and down the line offers opportunities to teach. For a few examples of opposites to learn from. Internships, discipleship class, leadership class, Bible studies, and so on.
The vision of Lighthouse Church is to be a disciple and servant leader factory. Which means God uses us to build up true Christ following leaders. Then when those leaders are ready, we send them to other church plants, churches, or countries. So, God can use them to build his kingdom, make more disciples, and make more leaders.
Missions- Lighthouse church supports both local and international missions and missionaries. We will support them through prayer, other spiritual support, financial support, training, and any other needs that might arise. We will encourage every true believing member of Lighthouse to support or be a part of local or international missions. Also, missionaries from other countries are coming to the states. Lighthouse Church will be an outpost of support for these missionaries while they are in this country.
Online Ministry- LightHouse Church uses the internet to post videos, articles, and posts to connect people to God, to train, encourage, and to teach all those who have internet. We do this through our LightHouse Church webpage, Facebook, and YouTube.

Current Steps- We are currently looking to start a Bible Study with a focus on those in the homeless and addiction community in Boulder Co (Everyone is welcome). We have multiple people interested in the Bible Study. We are praying for the start of that.
We are also praying for a place to be able to meet and do the Bible study in Boulder.
