Hello, my brothers and sisters. I hope that as we go through this journey. I pray that God is opening your eyes as well as my eyes to the things that God is doing in our lives. I might sound like a broken record what these articles are to encourage all of us to start recognizing all the things that God is doing in our life. The things He is teaching us, reteaching us, and opening our eyes to. Because God is always at work in our lives. And once we realize this fact. Our relationship with God will grow, as well as our faith will grow. These things can come to us through God talking to us, through the Bible, through sermons, through other believers, or even other secular sources. Let us never forget the power of God, and the fact that He can teach us many different ways.

I bring this up, because the first way God opened my eyes was actually from a quote that John Cena said. Now of course the quote I'm talking about was not in a Christian context. However, I do believe that this quote can be used in a Christian context as well. What John Cena said was, "take comfort in the uncomfortable". In a regular context I believe what this is saying is that we embrace uncomfort as a growth opportunity, practice mindfulness, and gradually expose yourself to situations that challenge you, fostering resilience and a willingness to step outside your comfort zone. Now as I said this come from secular world view. But you can apply this to a Christian world view as well. I think the best way to explain this is with 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 which says, "3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." (ESV). Lets break down this verse to understand what I am saying. Firstly when you see affliction, you can substitute that with uncomfort. Because the truth is when you are going through affliction, most of the time you are uncomfortable. Once you realize that, and that you are going through hard times. You can then realize that as the 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 says, God is there to give us comfort. So all I am really saying is, that we need to and can find God in the uncomfort. Now I know that this is sometimes difficult to do, and sometimes it can feel that God is not even there. However, God is always there for you, and is always at work. We just sometimes need to take a step back. We need to silent our heart and our doubt. Then open our eyes to see what God is actually doing. Which is again why I am writing these types of articles. To help us all get in to the practice to see that God is always at work on our behalf. Then as I said we also need to take a step back to see that God is there to comfort us. To encourage us, and to support us during these uncomfortable times.

Another part to this concept can be found in James 1 2:-4, "2 Count it all joy, my brothers,[b] when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." Once we realize that God will be our comfort in uncomfortable situations or trials. You will soon start to produce steadfast faith. This verse promises that when we go through trials and uncomfortable times. We realize that as I said God is there to comfort us, and that He will give us the strength to get through this trial. That produces the belief and know that God will always be there for us and will always comfort us. This knowing is faith in God. And the strongest type of faith we can have is steadfast faith. Which is basically never shaken faith. So we should take comfort when we go through trials because once we go through it as I said it will produce faith. So during these times of uncomfort let us pray for God comfort and the faith to get through it.

Again this is one of those things that in concept we should all know. But when the wind starts shaking the boat it is easy forget about God's love and comfort. But He is still there working on our behalf. And so, I don't know what you are going through. But I hope that you will keep this concept in your heart. take comfort in the uncomfortable, because God is the comfort.

The second thing God opened my eyes to was when I was at a preaching conference. One of the main points to the conference was the fact that we are to be a tool to get God's word out ( the Bible). We are not to use the Bible as a tool to get out point across. This abuse in power is how cults and false teachings start. Because people believe they can twist and use the Bible out of context to fill and back their point. In the setting I was in they were mainly talking to pastors when they are preaching. But this can and should apply to every believer. Matthew 28:18-20 says, "18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (ESV). This verse shows us we are all called to be disciples makers, and leaders of the church. So we all need to understand that we are called to be a tool for God. To be used by Him to bring people to relationship with Himself. So we need to humble ourselves, and understand our position. Now this might sound harsh. But honestly this is freeing. Because we realize that it's God doing the work, not us. As I said we are just the tool that He uses. So let us remember this as we go out making disciples.

So in closing let us remember that God will comfort us when we need it. And that he is always in control. God bless!
